Roku Netflix Box Selling Like Hotcakes
It’s been a month since the Roku/Netflix box debuted, and according to the suits, consumers are welcoming the box with open arms. Demand is both steady, and fairly voluminous — with “thousands” of replacement shipments arriving weekly.
Deal: HD DVD Blowout
While many might have seen this coming — few remaining supporters of HD DVD will be able to turn this deal down. Not every title is spectacular, but for $6 who can turn a blind eye?
Most of the titles are Universal titles — still no sign if these titles will ultimately be remastered and given the lossless treatment - ala, DTS: MA audio.
But, for the time being however, $6 isn’t half bad for a number of “coveted” Universal titles — despite the fact that they’ll eventually be released on BD.
It’s worth noting that the site is experiencing a great deal of difficulties, given the heavy traffic, but with any luck the site should overcome the demand and make it possible for random people to take part in the festivities!
Roku NetFlix Box Debuts, Jaws Drop

In a move that’s likely to placate just about any user of the Roku device, they’ve gone ahead and included just about every modern video ouput (including component and HDMI), along with wireless and wired internet connectivity options to boot.
Additionally, there is no service fee for using the Roku box, aside from the minimum option on Netflix that includes unlimited “watch now” capabilities, and the box itself will only set you back a measly $99 bucks, which certainly beats the pants of Apple’s set-top solution, Apple TV. Read more
