While most reports indicate that Cloverfield and There Will Be Blood will be released by Paramount on June 3rd, Amazon seems to remain of the opinion that they will street next week along with a slew of new and re-issued Viacom titles among other big titles from Disney, Sony and Image Entertainment.
Further we hear that Amazon.com customers have received emails today saying that both will be shipped on the 20th.
Does Amazon know something that the rest of us don’t? Be sure to add anything you know in the comments.
Certainly if those titles ship along with Bee Movie and National Treasure 1 and 2, it will be a feast of releases next week, and no doubt a major up tick in the Blu-ray sales volumes.
Update: Best Buy, Circuit City, Wal-mart and buy.com all list a May 20th release date also - see comments.
Update 2: Bill Hunt is reporting that all the retailers are wrong and that the June 3rd date will be upheld.

It appears that all retailers now have the 20th listed as release date for both films:

Hey folks, not a bad deal here at Amazon!

According to Bill Hunt, all of them are wrong.
Too bad…
Yeah I just read that myself… update added.
Im disappointed. In a world where delays are common, it would be nice to see an instance were a release date is moved up.
Im keeping my preorder though and hoping for the best.
Still no corrections as of yet… I’m going to continue keeping my fingers crossed. No doubt they might stick with the June 3rd deadline, but seeing as how all of these retailers have the 20th listed, I’m guessing that they have the titles in the back room waiting to be displayed…
I know reviewers have their copies.
So really it would just be the studios insistence that would delay the release.
It looks like Home Media Magazine also lists Cloverfield for release this coming week…
