About: Although a Seattle native, Tyler doesn't t fit that stereo type very well. He prefers Red Bull to Lattes, doesn't own a pair of birkenstocks, and has never hugged a tree in his life. As a life long Geek, he is pretty much addicted to anything that has to do with technology. He became hooked on HDTV in early '04, and hasn't looked back since. At his day job in the aerospace industry, he is never too far away from the latest news thanks to Google Reader on his iPhone. Tyler's vision for Format War Central is to provide a very diverse range of opinions, which he thinks really engages the readers and promotes vibrant discussions.See Authors Posts (237)

Universal is the first studio to break the HD century mark with 104 HD DVD movies released to date. Our friends at hddvdstats.com makes it easy to see how many titles each studio has released. Warner is still a little behind with 80+ titles released on HD DVD (around 60 on Blu-ray). It is easy to see why the Blu-ray group is putting constant pressure on Universal, since the war would come to a accelerated ending if Universal decided to go neutral.

“It is easy to see why the Blu-ray group is putting constant pressure on Universal” - what are you basing the ‘Blu-ray group’s constant pressure’ claim on, precisely? On that debunked posting on Blu-ray.com?
Not at all, That dispute was about GE putting pressure, not the Blu-ray group.
I’d like to see Universal start bundling some movies into collections for a nice price.
The Mummy
The Bourne series
Nutty Professor
Warner and Paramount are doing some bundle work and Universal has the largest release of titles…start moving these titles with some deals.
