Home Media Magazine is reporting that the Blu-ray Market Share versus DVD for the week ending April 13th 2008 was up just a little over the previous week, with a 5:95 ratio.
On the Blu-ray versus HD DVD side, things have swung back to the more recently typical 80 percent range, with a ratio of 86:14.

During a trip to our local Wal-Mart Supercenter, we noticed the store had added security devices to all of their Blu-ray movies. The thing we found odd about this, is they didn’t add them to their HD DVD movie inventory.

The latest Home Media Magazine shows that the week ending April 6th was a slower one for Blu-ray Disc.
Up against DVD, we see that Blu-ray held only a four percent market share, comparing the top 20 titles for each format.

Men in Black and Bone Collector Get UK Blu-ray Release Date

Men in Black is now listed for release in the UK on June 16th 2008, along with So I Married an Axe Murderer.
The Bone Collector will be released by Sony on June 2nd, 2008 – this title is a Universal Studios HD DVD only release in the USA.

High-Def Digest and The High Def Forum Acquired by Internet Brands

The web conglomerate Internet Brands has acquired both High-Def Digest and the High Def Forum. The company plans on keeping the sites independent, while leveraging Internet Brands resources where they can enhance the sites. An upgrade to new faster servers should be completed in a few weeks.
