Unwrapped: Lord Of The Rings Blu-ray Trilogy

We got our hands on the Lord of the Rings Blu-ray Trilogy! The first thing you will notice when you open the boxset, is that one of the two Blu-ray disc cases just contains the 3 Digital Copy DVDs (what a waste of space). The other Blu-ray case contains the 3 Blu-ray Theatrical versions of the films, plus the 3 DVDs containing the Extras for each of the films.

We think there should have been 3 Blu-ray Cases in the set, each containing:  1 Flim, 1 Extras DVD, and the Digital Copy DVD. This is what the collectors would probably prefer, but we still hold out hope that this will happen when the Extended Editions of the films are released in the future.

Here are some pictures of what is included in the set:

    I always enjoyed the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. But I won’t be picking up this set mainly because I fell into the hole of buying the theatrical DVD’s and then the Extended Edition later in the year. I am not a huge fan of the double dipping.

    So I take it your not going to fall for the Avatar triple dip right? Heh

    @Tristan Pipo

    Second that. It’s quite outrageous that they first dump the theatrical release and then later tries to get us to buy the “real” version. Well to bad for them, they wont get my money until the extended one comes out.
