Here is the HD trailer for the upcoming Blu-ray release of the “Lord of the Rings” Trilogy. ┬áThe sad thing is, they are only releasing the Theatrical Versions of the films at this time.

You can pre-order the trilogy on Amazon for $65.49 (the street date is April 6th 2010)

I will wait for the Extended Edition. They got a lot of people buying the theatrical edition and than later on they brought out the extended edition which was much better. Now that we know certain movies have director’s cut, special editions, etc. on DVD, we know to hold out for those to come out on Blu-Ray instead of the studios getting us twice.

No way I will buy this version. I think it is rather annoying that they do not publish both versions straight away on Blu-ray. It’s another example of greedy studios (read ignorant and stupid bean counters) simply feeding the pirating market.
