VUDU Now Lets Users Purchase HD Movies, Not Just Rent Them

Good news for digital video distribution enthusiasts, VUDU is announcing plans to allow consumers to purchase HD video content; previously users were only able to rent HD titles. Prominent indie studios Magnolia Pictures, FirstLook Studios, and Kino. Vudu expects to have 50 HD titles available by the end of this week; titles will be sold between the ranges of $14-24 USD.

User can purchase the HD version or the HDX version of the film for the same price!

Upon purchasing a title consumers can save it to their Vudu box or store it on the Vudu Vault.

The “Vudu Vault” feature is kinda like home movie server in the cloud, as you can re-download your previously purchased movies at anytime in the future.
