One of the questions on Blu-ray Disc enthusiasts lips this week is whether or not The Dark Knight Blu-ray release sold a million copies in the first week of release.
Luckily EngadgetHD has the answer – yes, and then some!
According to a press release from Warner, The Dark Knight has sold 1.7 million copies worldwide.
Note that The Dark Knight figures included sales data from US, UK, Canada, Japan, Benelux and Australia – so we still don’t really know what the domestic US sales numbers were.
None the less, this is a great achievement and there is no doubt that The Dark Knight has taken the crown as the fastest selling Blu-ray release to date.
