After the introduction of HDX and passing Blu-ray in terms of HD content available, Vudu has been gaining a lot of notoriety. To keep up, Vudu is pleased to announce a community imitative, spanning from various forms of blogging to a Facebook app!

Recently introduced, the rating system allows users to leave feedback on movies they have recently seen using a simple 5 star rating system. To back up the user rating system, a professional average dubbed “Critics’ Rating” is also included.

Dubbed “_Vudu” the official Vudu twitter page is meant to update users with the latest events happening in their area, new upcoming releases, and an all around good companion!

The official blog was launched just recently with the intent of bringing users the latest happenings around the Vudu service. Much like our very own segment, the Vudu blog does a weekly recap of the latest content released on the service. The blog also updates users with upcoming and recently released features, such as the aforementioned Facebook application and Twitter account!

When it comes to Facebook Vudu definitely leaves no stone unturned, with a official page and application what more could you want.

Official Facebook Page

The official Vudu Facebook page allows Vudu’ers to come together and discuss their latest cinematic ventures. During our tour, we noticed the page was also used to announce service updates, even job listings!

Facebook Application

No Facebook community page would be complete without a application now will it? The Vudu Facebook app allows users to log in via their “Vudu ID” and take a glance and their recent rentals, purchases, ratings, etc with the added ability to show off your movies tastes to your friends! Although not very advanced now, were sure once user interest improves in the applications it won’t be long until we could, let’s say queue a movie?

Although it’s been around for a while, we figure the forum’s are a worth a mention as well, a place where Vudu’ers could go to talk to the community and those behind the service.

Good times at Vudu indeed, Vudu gets to join the exclusive “Community Centric” list by our books!
