Former vice president of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe and current Directeur Général Délégué of Atari, Phil Harrison claims physical media will play a very minimal role with future generations. Mr. Harrison explains,
there’s a generation of kids being born today and probably already alive who I’m pretty confident will never buy a physical media product. They will never buy a DVD, they will never buy a CD, and they will never buy a game in a box
With Toshiba and other Consumer Electronic firms fast at work on flash technology for delivering media, and the announcement of the 400GB Blu Ray disc, do Mr. Harrison’s comments hold any water?
