New Panasonic Blu-ray Player Models for the Holiday Season?

We were somewhat surprised to read that Panasonic has new Blu-ray players planned for the holiday season.

It is a surprise since Panasonic is one of the few to have both a Bonus View and a BD Live Blu-ray player already in their line up.

note: image above is of the DMP-BD50

The new players will be the DMP-BD35 and the DMP-BD55 and will incorporate the UniPhier processor as well as a high capacity SD card slot for easy AVCHD Video and JPEG image viewing.

Additionally both models will have BD-Live capabilty, allowing users to network and download additional website content onto an SD memory card.

The DMP-BD55 adds further attention to audio performance with the addition of 7.1 analog outputs, audio grade components and isolation feet to reduce the effects of vibration.

That last feature set is of great interest to me personally, since my audio set up is a high end 7.1 system with analog inputs. I have no desire whatsoever to replace this unit any time in the near future – and I am sure I am not alone.

It sounds like they will directly replace the -30 and -50 so likely around the same price?
