Now that Paramount is back in the Blu-ray business, it seems that they intend to do it right.
Today Paramount launched a support website, promoting their Blu-ray Disc releases, as well as other news about Blu-ray Disc, including hardware news.
The video content does not seem quite ready – it will be interesting to see they add there.
It is great to see that Paramount is making this kind of effort!

Neat, kind of like the HD DVD promotional group website (On the subject, the site has been stripped down now only showing consumer contact info and the discontinuation press release).
But how much do online site’s actually help? It seems like the kind of people going to these type of sites would already know what they are. They need those promotional videos that were available on the HD DVD combo discs, those are probably the best way to get the message across, and then of course use the dirty DVD tactic of not being able to skip it during first play : – )
This site doesn’t appear to be of any use really other than linking you to Paramount Blu-ray Disc releases Amazon listings… You could do that yourself by searching “paramount blu” on Amazon under Movies/TV Shows
I mean don’t get me wrong, I’m glad Paramount is showing some support “of sorts” for the format to help promote their titles but I’m just not convinced this is going to be of much use. I mean even FOX, Disney and Warner’s Blu-ray sites are pretty much the same thing… You find more up-to-date information on News sites like ours…
I am hoping that they get some more unique content up there at some stage…
Did they have a site dedicated to their HD DVD product?
I don’t believe so
@Dave: it’s been there for long
www,paramounthddvd.com
same template. if your internet is slow, then you might be able to see for a short time at the bottom of the blu-ray page “the look and sound of perfect” linking to blu-ray official page. If your connection is fast, then no. you’ll only see Blu-ray logo
to see what I mean:

@Felix – That’s weird
They forgot to remove/change the “alt” text of the image.
Actually if you keep the mouse above the image you get a pop-up text with The Look and Sound of Perfect text (in some browsers at least)
These alt images still saying “The Look and Sound of Perfect” are pretty hilarious… Shows they rushed this site up A.S.A.P.
I am sure many of us are guilty of code re-use, but one does have to be a little more careful than that, perhaps
@Dave Cowl – Yes, if you’re a major Studio especially. hehe
crappy website if you ask me
They should have spent some of the money Toshiba gave them on a decent web design company.
@merrick97 – Did we? Just kidding Merrick. Glad you chimed in
@Tyler Pruitt – LOL, very true.
