Xbox 360 HD DVD Drive Hits $19.99 CDN

My fellow Canadians, you will be pleased to know that the remaining HD DVD drives left in Futureshop stores have just hit $19.99, the drive is sold out online and is available only in stores. If you’re heading to Futureshop any time soon and need a replacement or just another add on for a PC or Laptop, feel free to pick it up.

Although we would have preferred these price’s during the format war, we have to admit it is a great deal for what it comes with. I’m satisfied with my current HD DVD drive, and I doubt I will need a replacement any time soon.

now that’s sad, to believe what used to have a retail price of $199 USD is now that cheap… I’m not totally sure on the conversion of $19 CDN to USD but that seems way too cheap… it’s obvious why Microsoft’s gimp made the statement he did about Blu-ray last week. They (Microsoft) obviously realize HD-DVD has not only died but they want to get rid of their remaining HD-DVD drives for 360 as cheap and as quickly as possible to help forget they picked the wrong format. Sure these prices are a bit dependent on the retailer but Microsoft has probably dropped the MSRP to whatever the retailer choses at this point.

Microsoft did not make this price, the retailers do.
