Best Buy: All HD DVD’s 30% Off

We just popped over to Best Buy to confirm this recent in-store promotion and sure enough, there was plenty of evidence that Best Buy has begun the liquidation process of their HD DVD stock.
It’s worth nothing that a few people are reporting that the discount does not apply to box-sets, but we couldn’t find any fine print that stated otherwise, so it’s certainly worth a shot if you’ve got your heart set on one of the otherwise pricey box-sets.
Despite the rather healthy discount, it might be in your best interest to wait a bit longer as we’ll likely be seeing even steeper discounts on HD DVD software within the near future as the demand for Blu-ray titles — and shelving space — increases.

Eh, the website has numerous titles at 14.99, but they’re “on sale.” I assume in-store the 30% off is from the marked sticker price. As most of their movies are marked 24.99-34.99, this isn’t as good as the sales Amazon and DeepDiscount are currently running.
When that yellow strip says 50% or more, then we’re talking.

Also, that strip clearly says ALL HD DVD software, so that must include Box sets. They’d still be cheaper from other online retailers, however.
You forgot to mention that Bleu-Ray prices are increasing too.
Yup, unfortunately not a great deal. . .YET!!!!!!
I checked a few box sets, they don’t seem to be affected. The only problem is none of the store employees at my store seemed to know anything about the promotion. I was the only one who even noticed it. The markdowns are off regular price, so a $24.99 Batman Begins becomes $17.49 with the discount. Amazone normally retails it for $19.99 and some places (Deep Discount) have them for as low as $9.98 already. The fun has staretd, but hopefully it gets better.
