Universal Adjusts HD DVD Catalog SRP’s

universal.jpegStarting tomorrow all Universal HD DVD catalog titles will be reduced to a record-low SRP of $19.99.

We find it hard perceive this as anything other but a fire-sale — few should be able to contend that fact — but if you’re looking to pick up some discs on the cheap, whether you’re a dual supporter or a die-hard HD DVD’er, we don’t see any harm in snagging a bunch of these titles at this price point.

Of course, if deals are truly what you want, perhaps you should play the waiting game a little longer and wait until these crop up in the bargain bin?

Best Buy has a 30% off all HD DVD Software sale going right now per in store signage – I’m contemplating waiting though since Box Sets don’t appear to be discounted.

    Universal High Def Sale at

    Most are $12.20 or $18.30.

    Apparently similar prices at Amazon.
