Discovery Channel Discounts Planet Earth and Sunrise Earth HD DVD

The Discovery Channel Store is offering discounts on HD DVD versions of Planet Earth and Sunrise Earth. The Planet Earth promotion gets you the HD DVD set for $29.95 while the Sunrise Earth is $24.95.

When considering a Planet Earth purchase, keep in mind that the Discovery version is the version shown on Discovery HD Theater and as such has less content, Sigourney Weaver narration and 1080i format.

The promotion is a little tricky – you cannot combine the promotions – though the shipping is free so this is not a big deal. Just follow the link to Discovery and add the HD DVD version to the cart. When you check the cart you will see the discount and free shipping. Free shipping will be canceled if you add other non-HD DVD items to the cart. So check out and enjoy the disc.
