Blu-ray Stats News Log is reporting that almost half of the previously available Paramount Blu-ray Disc titles are in stock and shipping at Amazon.
It is not clear if these are unsold discs from before Paramount ceased shipping Blu-ray product, or if these have never been ‘unavailable’.

I bought Italian Job, Sahara, and Easy Money three weeks ago from Amazon (not thru one of the resellers) at 19.95 each. Mission Impossible 3 was available at it’s current price at that time too. There might be some new stock, but they’ve been available all along.
Very nice, now lets see the ones that were ready to ship when they scurried away from the format without a moments notice last fall…
I’m waiting for King Kong on blu-ray disc. The quality on HD DVD was very good.
If I recall, they sold out of them all and then there was a second wave (at which time I picked up a few) in later 2007. I never really paid much attention to see if they completely sold out again at that time…
I will certainly be keeping an eye on things now.
Yup, but given the cost I am glad that I have the cheaper HD-DVD versions available to me. Not to mention that some of those are the early release with the mediocre quality transfers. Will be interesting to see how long it takes for them to come down in price though.
I bought Sleepy Hollow and Black Rain on Blu Ray in December from amazon, so they have been available all the time.
Jesterrace: I am sure that you will have plenty of cheaper titles available in the upcoming weeks…
Certainly a good opportunity to pick up titles that were a little too much for what they were originally…
Must have dug them up out of the landfill. Good thing they use really good shrink wrap!
Beowulf (2007)(Paramount) Feb 26 – this was SUPPOSED to be the release date for HD-DVD version.
I don’t think it’s coming out on HD-DVD. They just showed a TV on a major network. And it says “Coming out on HD-DVD” – that’s it. No usual picture of both formats.
I think it has been spotted in retail (mistakenly early) so it should be coming out…
OOPS! I typoed – I meant the TV AD says “Coming out on DVD” – think we’re used to typing HD-DVD all the time we forget to ommit the HD part.
Its one of the reasons I prefered Blu… it rolls off the tongue better. And when typing, gotta hold down the SHIFT key and press way to many “D”s
I read somewhere that There Will Be Blood was canceled for HD DVD.
