We read (as best we can) on areadvd.de some of the planned Warner releases in Europe between now and June.
For both formats we see Golden Compass, I am Legend, and the Dirty Harry series. This could be of interest to US HD DVD buyers since Golden Compass will probably not be released on HD DVD here in the USA.
We also see some ‘catch up’ titles for Blu-ray Disc including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, V for Vendetta, Constantine and Batman Begins.
I expect that these catch up titles will get US releases also.

Woot Dirty Harry! My dad loves the old Clint Eastwood movies, I should order that for him.
Golden Compass is from New Line, who cut off *all* HD DVD releases as of January 4.
And here I thought that the HD DVD sales in Europe were so low that Warner had no choice but go Blue. Now we see them selling HD DVD into this “dead” market, while ignoring an installed base of 1 million players in the US.
What’s up? Was Warner just making up stuff to explain their $400 million move?
Put down the pipe, Kevin. It’s the exact same situation in EU and US.
Both get Warner Blu-ray and HD DVD until May
Both have no HBO or New Line releases for HD DVD
Both have no same-day new releases for HD DVD
Both have no same-day catalog releases for HD DVD
@Jesse:
Golden Compass is distributed by warner bros, which unfortunately being forced by HD DVD to release in its dead format till May 2008
