bd50small.jpgAt the Panasonic Press conference today Panasonic announced a number of interesting new products of interest to HiDef fanatics.

On the Blu-ray front, as well as touting that they were first to Final Standard Profile, a BD Live player was mentioned. The DMP-BD50
is touted as the ultimate 1080p player, and is to feature TrueHD and DTS-HD:MA built in decoding and 7.1 output, as well as Picture in Picture and BDLive functionality. Finally a player that meets all my needs! The player will also display images and AVCHD video from SD cards. Panasonic stated that they intend to lead the Blu-ray market.

Also of interest to HD lovers, a larger range of AVCHD camcorders with 1080p capability including both SD card and HDD, single and three CCD models. And perhaps the most interesting – a 32GB SDHC card.
