Amazon’s latest Blu-ray “Buy One Get One Free” deal, has sent Blu-ray to the top 5 positions in the sales rankings. Again the first 4 Harry Potter flicks grab the top 4 spots, while 300 continues it’s strong sales by getting the #5 spot. We had a feeling Warner would do a Blu-ray sale to match the previous HD DVD BOGOF deal. We do wonder how this effects future sales, as some people will want to wait for BOGOF deals for any title they’re interested in.

What, no speculation that Amazon is "clearing stock" of unsold Harry Potter movies? That was the "theory" being bandied about when HD DVD had the same deal.
I think you debunked that theory Aaron
They’ll either need to have these sales every other weekend, or have low prices all the time.I wonder how much of it is up to Amazon and how much of it is driven by the studios.
What an awful theory – “clearing stock” on brand new releases? People need to just take things as they are – promotions on hot items in a competitive market, often influenced by the manufacturers.
Just giving you some grief, Tyler. No worries ;o)
