Haha, that guy is such a dumbass.. anything he’s ever predicted seems to never pan out.. no one cares what he says.

These ideas aren’t exactly new. People have been predicting this for months.

Actually Dave, folks on the Blu-ray fence have been predicting it for months, and thats about it! It is a convenient rumor for them to spread because it causes many who might be purchasing an HD DVD player for the holidays to reconsider or hold off and that is the typical BS that the Blu-ray camp has done all along.. make false proclamations to influence the consumer.. how many times did they claim they won the format war and HD DVD was dead or would be dead within months? do they look dead?

Blu-ray folks are people too :D HD DVD doesn’t look dead – however I don’t think it looks healthy either. None the less I think it would take something like Warner departing to kill HD DVD. Whether it is a handy rumour or has truth behind it remains to be seen. With regard to false proclamations – that goes both ways. That said, I think people who make proclamations that turn out to be false believe them at the time. Just like the WMDs in Iraq. Was Bush really lying if he believed it to be true? In any case, we should know in which direction Warner swings (if they swing at all) in the next couple of months…

Am I the only one out here that thinks Universal is the greatest studio out? If Warner switched to either side, it would be a blow to the other – but a death blow? I find that hard to believe … Warner’s 300 was amazing, and had it not come out (yet) I would tend to agree …
