According to this article on Video Business, Pirates of the Caribbean’s third installment sold 160k copies during it’s first week of release. This is very close to the record set by 300, which reportedly sold 250k units, 65% (or 162.5k units) of which were Blu-ray discs.
Rumour has it that sales for that week were more than 3:1 in favour of Blu-ray disc – I guess we will see for sure on Friday.
