Michael Bay Posts New Rant Targeting Corporate Politics, Specifically Microsoft

bay.jpgMichael Bay has made a new post on his forum criticizing corporate politics, naming Microsoft as the villain bribing studios to support HD DVD. Bay claims that the ‘dirty secret’ is that Microsoft wants both formats to fail in order to save the day with digital downloads.

While this theory is far from new, it is not often that we see it put forward by an industry insider. It will be interesting to see if or how Paramount or DreamWorks responds.

Why is it that every time he posts something, whether HD or Blu supporting, it’s pointed out on this website? He has the credibility of Nick Saban, there are others out there with more relevant and consistent opinions …

I saw the original thread, it looks like he made a seperate account and posted the question. The asker refer’s to HD DVD as HDTV and say’s it is expense compared to Blu Ray in Europe. He then goes onto say that the Transformer’s online thing would go great on Blu Ray. The funny thing is, Blu Ray can’t support it!

@Ryan – Because it is format war related, and for me personally because I find it amusing.@Mehar – By the time Transformers is released on BD, online will be supported.
