In this edition of “Sunday Ad Wars“, the HD DVD camp is surprisingly MIA. We wonder if the HD DVD camp is preparing a big offensive for the launch of “Transformers”. With that said, Circuit city is offering the Sony BDP-S300 for $499.99 (MSRP) including 7 free BD movies by mail (2 from CC + 5 from the BDA). Best Buy is pushing the PS3 on the back cover of their ad. They are offering a package deal of a 40″ Sony Bravia 1080p LCD + 1 PS3 game + 1 Blu-ray Movie + 60GB PS3 = $2089.96 ($500 savings). Also in the Best Buy ad is the new Samsung BD-P1400 Blu-ray player for $499.99. With your BD-P1400 purchase, you get 7 free BD movies (2 at time of purchase + 5 Free via mail form the BDA).
