In this edition of “Sunday Ad Wars“, the big surprise is the lack of any Blu-ray hardware (except for the PS3). Circuit City is offering the Toshiba HD-A20 1080p player for $399.99 (MSRP). Best Buy on the other hand has the new Toshiba HD-A30 1080p player, including 9 free HD DVD movies (2 in the box + any 2 in store + 5 from Toshiba by mail) for $399.99 (MSRP). Best Buy also has the Toshiba HD-A2 for $299.99 (MSRP), including 7 free HD DVD movies (Any 2 in store + 5 by mail from Toshiba).

I wonder if there was a way I could get my hands on the additional free HD DVD’s considering I only bought my A30 a couple weeks ago.
I’m not holding my breath, but I sure am gonna try.
