Sony to Release Home Entertainment Server with Blu-ray Disc Burner Included
Sony announced today the HES-V1000 Home Entertainment Server. The unit will contain a full HD 1080p 200-disc BD/DVD/CD changer (196 12cm BD/DVD/CDs and four 8cm BD/DVDs) and 500GB hard disc drive for media storage as well as an Ethernet internet connection. The unit will be able to burn content to BDs and DVDs. It also has the ability to wirelessly stream music throughout the home with a router to other devices, including Sony’s CPF-IX001 wireless music player and other Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA)-compatible wireless devices like the Playstation 3. Outputs include the usual analog video connections as well as i-Link (IEEE 1394) and HDMI connectors for digital video and a range of memory card connections allowing easy transfer of digital image content.
All this for only $3500, available in October at Sony Style stores and online.

The BDA had better come up with something better than this.
Well, it is an interesting and unique product.
How about a 400 disc BD changer for $1200, I think that would be a cool product(hell add MCE intergration/control too).
Until there is a competitive product in this space I doubt we will see any bargains.
