There have been a number of revelations at IFA regarding movie titles coming to Blu-ray Disc. Some of the highlights follow:
Fox announced that there will be 10 day and date as well as 19 must have catalogue releases coming and the first TV release from Fox (Prison Break). It was also revealed that Die Hard 4 and Fantastic 4 Silver Surfer will both be AVC encodes on BD50 discs.
Warner announced the three Oceans movies as well as the Harry Potter movies coming to Blu-ray in fourth quarter.
Disney confirmed a number of firsts for them including the first Platinum release Sleeping Beauty, the first BD Live release National Treasure and PiP bonus feature releases Finding Nemo and The Chronicles of Narnia.
In related news, the China Huala Group have joined the BDA. CHLF and China Film Group will team up to offer Blu-ray Disc Authoring for the Chinese market. Let’s hope they have region free titles with English subtitles!
Update: A different site reports that there have been a load of European independent film studios signed up for Blu-ray Disc, including Pathe and Studio Canal. This lends further credence to the ‘Bronzes’ post the other day.

Honestly, I felt underwhelmed. None of these announcements came close to the magnitude of the Para/DW switch for HD-DVD.
All the IFA did was confirm what we already knew: More CE support for bluray.
Warner also confirmed what we already knew. Oceans 13 and Harry Potter coming in Q4.
What about Batman Begins, Constantine, and Matrix Trilogy.
Disappointed as a bluray fan
At least we still have Warner releasing BDs
So it would seem
