Confirmed: HD DVD Player From China

Venturer Electronics announced today their upcoming SHD7000 HD DVD player. They have plans to ship the player in time for the holiday shopping season. No word on pricing yet, but we expect it to be priced below the $199.00 mark.

    Wow, and this isn’t even the big CEDIA news?!

    I wonder what’s in store for HD DVD next week, eh?

    If I were HD-DVD, Id be extremely disappointed if this cheap piece of crap was the big CEDIA news.

    I wonder If they will brand it with something like Symphonic/AKAI for Wal-Mart/Target ect.

    well even if the quality (what quality, right?) is sketchy – at least it will get some folks who might be “waiting” off the fence and into the technology.
