sonyPS3.jpegSony has confirmed the pice of the 60GB PS3 will now be $499.00, matching the price of the 20GB model that was discontinued shortly after the consoles launch. Later in the summer Sony will begin shipping a new 80GB version of the PS3 including the game Motorstorm for $599.00. We wonder who will pay $100 (plus tax) more for 20GBs of space + a game that can be found used for under $40.00.

Is it true that you can install your own hard drive in the PS3 up to a maximum of 250gb?

Yeah, all you need is a 2.5 inch SATA drive of your choice.

That’s strange. I know you’ve already mentioned this, but whats the incentive of purchasing the 80gb model?
