The following video was posted to YouTube by an unknown user *cough viral marketer* and has created quite a buzz on Gizmodo. We have a Samsung BDP-1000 player at home, and are able to skip the trailers on the POTC BDs. We did observer however a similar extra long startup time of 1-2 mins after the disc was inserted.

Say what you want about the PS3, at least they work with all the new Blu-Rays
I agree, the PS3 is the most future proof Blu-ray player. I wouldn\’t think about buying a stand alone BD player before BD Live is here.
I only have a PS3 and this title is much much faster on it. I agree that it’s very annoying having to fast forward so much crap you don’t want to see.
But there may be something wrong with your player mate.
