We were browsing our local Costco (Seattle Area), when we came across an awesome deal of $249.99 on the Toshiba HD-D2 (Costco only model thats the same as the HD-A2). This includes the $100 instant rebate for fathers day (price good through 6/16), also remember Costco has an unlimited return policy on DVD players (TVs are 90 days). We think this price point is getting into the range of a good Oppo up-converting player, why not spend the extra $50 for real HD?

Can you tell me exactly which one in the Seattle area? I live on the Eastside and didn’t see it at my local store.
It was at the Everett Store.
I saw it at the one on 4th ave as well.
Ryan, How was the display @ the 4th ave. store?

Costco currently has the HD-A20 for 429.99 on their website (70 off MSRP) and from June 10th to the 16th, all toshiba units will be $100 off, set your calenders to see if Costco sells the HD-A20 for 329.99.

I just purchased a HD-A2 this weekend for 299.99, and it’s worth it, but for 30 + costco membership more, it’s definately worth upgrading to the A20.
